Certified Asbestos Testing
In the past asbestos was frequently used in the construction industry owing to its light weight and its chemical, electrical and thermal resistance. Over time, the health hazards of asbestos were realized and this resulted in significant reduction in its usage.
Although it’s use has been reduced, products from overseas and the natural occurrence of it in mineral deposits, alongside common building material can cause the appearance of asbestos in modern building products. This is one of the reasons the testing of asbestos in all suspect building products (not just popcorn ceilings) is required before the materials are disturbed, regardless of the date of construction.
QET trained professionals will visit your home or property in a timely manner, usually we can arrange for same day service and results.
QET will collect the appropriate number of samples from suspect areas, the samples will be submitted to an accredited laboratory for analyses.
QET will guide you through the entire asbestos testing process
QET will provide a report in a timely manner with our professionals on-site observations, laboratory results, along with any necessary recommendation that might need to be addressed if asbestos is determined to be present in any of the suspect samples collected.
Should asbestos be determined to be present in any of the samples collected, QET will be more than happy to assist you in the abatement portion of the project, this could be anything ranging from answering general questions to helping you select an approved abatement contractor.
QET trained professionals will revisit your home or property to conduct a final visual assessment of the work areas to make sure that all necessary work has been completed in order to conduct further air sampling.
If further work is required, we will provide appropriate suggestions.
Finally, we will give you a formal report of clearance certifying that asbestos abatement work was successfully completed.
